City Minute: What’s Happening in July

SALISBURY, Md. – In this week’s City Minute, WMDT’s John Trout and Salisbury’s Events and Culture Manager Caroline O’Hare discuss events coming to the city this July.

On Friday, Jul. 10, Delmarvalous Americana Live is bringing singer-songwriter Angela Easterling to Unity Square for a free concert from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. It’s a great opportunity to enjoy an evening of live music in downtown Salisbury.

Plus, enjoy another free concert later this month at the Pohanka Riverwalk Ampitheater. On Friday, Jul. 31, the Great Train Robbery will be preforming from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., and Savour Restaurant will also be on-site with beverages available for purchase.

And if families were looking forward to America’s Picnic, they still have a chance to attend. America’s Picnic at Poplar Hill Mansion has been rescheduled to Sunday, Jul. 12, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Everyone is invited to bring a picnic, relax on the grounds, and celebrate Salisbury’s history and community at this free event.

Keep the patriotism going for Third Friday, returning on Jul. 17 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. This month’s theme is MD250, celebrating America’s 250th anniversary. Visitors can enjoy downtown shopping, local artists, entertainment, food, and plenty of family-friendly activities.

There’s something for everyone this month in Salisbury!
