Vehicle struck by gunfire in Dover

Dover Police are investigating a shooting that happened Thursday shortly after noon in the first block of South New Street.

Just before 12:20 PM, police received reports of multiple shots fired in the area. Officials say surveillance cameras in the area showed a vehicle driving away from the scene and parking at Fulton Street and New Street.

Officers responded to this vehicle and made contact with the person inside. The windshield had damage from a single bullet, officials said.
