OCEAN CITY, Md. – The Ocean City Fire Department (OCFD) responded to a jet ski crash that injured three on Tuesday afternoon.

Around 1:40 p.m. on Jul. 7, the OCFD responded to Assawoman Bay in North Ocean City for a reported jet ski crash involving multiple patients and jet skis. Paramedics treated two patients at the scene, while one trauma patient was airlifted to R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center for further care.

A good Samaritan offered authorities the use of a nearby resident’s vessel, allowing firefighters to quickly get underway and reach the patients. OCFD says they are grateful for the quick-thinking neighbor who helped crews make rapid access to those in need.

Maryland Natural Resources Police and the United States Coast Guard also responded to the scene.
