Tasker holds seat after Pocomoke re-election

Incumbent George Tasker remains Councilman of District One after barely beating his opponent in a Pocomoke City re-election.

According to Pocomoke City officials Tasker won 98 to 91 versus Sheila Nelson.

A re-election was held Tuesday night after officials couldn’t certify the votes in the original election. 132 people voted back in April, but apparently only 127 votes were tallied. It was then ultimately decided to hold a re-vote to all voters in the district.
