PRINCESS ANNE, Md. – The Princess Anne Police Department recently recovered an illegal ghost gun during a traffic stop.

On Sunday, Jun. 28, officers recovered a ghost gun during a traffic stop within the Town of Princess Anne. The gun was also discovered to be loaded and did not contain a serial number. The driver was subsequently taken into custody and charged. Officers say their investigation further revealed the arrested driver was legally prohibited from possessing firearms or ammunition.

“Every illegal firearm removed from our community makes Princess Anne a safer place to live, work, and raise a family,” the department said in a post on social media. “The Princess Anne Police Department remains committed to aggressively targeting illegal weapons and holding offenders accountable.”
