Shore to Shore: A Boutique with Fashion and Friendly Conversations
SNOW HILL, Md. — In a small town, shopping is about more than finding the perfect outfit, WMDT has more on the stylish boutique in the newest edition of shore to shore.
From carefully selected fashions to friendly conversations, Sassy Girl Boutique has become a go-to spot that reflects the charm of sweet Town Snow Hill.
Owner of Sassy Girl Boutique, Suzanne Timmons said, “I myself love to decorate. Right. So out of that comes me and all of my displays and how I put my merchandise together. So that seems to be a big draw for people that come in. They seem to get really wowed by the displays that I create.”
Ms. Suzzanne Timmons has been in business since 2003, but Sassy Girl Boutique wasn’t born until 2010, when she landed the spot right off West Green Street.
“Everything that you see in here, something that I actually hand-selected myself, and I try to be very diverse because my taste is not everyone’s taste. So, I take that into account as well when I’m selecting merchandise for the store.” said Timmons.
Her displays can be pink, green, or neutral, she also has coastal country and elegant finds. One thing about Timmons is she’s always on time with the seasons.
Timmons said, “I always have a little notch for Memorial Day and July 4th with red, white and blue. But this year it’s more important and hence why I have the whole front of the store, with merchandise that you can shop, whether it’s for your home or something to wear, are even gifts.”
Some stores simply sell clothes; others create an experience; Sassy Girl Boutique has built a reputation for doing both.
“At the end of the day, it’s customers that come in here. It’s repeat customers that come in that have been supporting me since day one. It’s new customers that find me and they walk in and they are so wowed by what they see, and especially in this little town,” said Timmons.
With Timmons being a Salisbury native, I had to ask why she set her eyes on Snow Hill.
“I met someone from this area and, we decided to stay here and so I’ve lived here now a little over 27 years.” she added, “It’s always been a little gem that I feel like is really starting to prosper and people are starting to take notice and I am just so proud to be a part of that.”
Timmons said it’s the people that make up the Snow Hill and Eastern Shore community that support her.
“I have a huge support system from my husband I couldn’t do this without him. But at the same time, I am just I keep powering through just because of customers that support me.” said Timmons.
