Charlie Paparella Finds Peace in the Shoreline

ASSATEAGUE ISLAND, Md. – In this week’s edition of Back on the Road with Charlie Paparella, brought to you by Furniture & More Gone Coastal, Charlie finds peace in the unending shoreline.

There’s over 11,000 miles of shoreline along the Chesapeake Bay, and some of it is as pure and pristine as it was centuries ago. In the mornings and the evenings, it’s a busy place, but in the afternoon it’s often quiet.

“Peace is wonderful when there is nothing around; it’s the absence of everything else,” Charlie says.

Silence changed Charlie when he was young, as it was the only peace he could remember as his own. If you’re on our blessed peninsula, you’re not far from the shoreline, and in that place you just might find your own peace like Charlie did.

“You will, as I did, return to your car and to your home and to your life,” Charlie says. “But you will remember that quiet, and maybe you remember that peace. [All] 11,000 miles of it.”
