Wor-Wic and Salisbury University Open Doors With College Transfer Program

SALISBURY, Md. — Salisbury University and Wor-Wic Community College took a major step toward expanding educational opportunities on the Eastern Shore Thursday by signing a new transfer agreement.

Around 10:30 a.m., Salisbury University President Dr. Lepre and Wor-Wic Community College President Dr. Casey signed a memorandum of understanding establishing the “Wor-Wic to SU” program. The initiative will allow Wor-Wic graduates to transfer to Salisbury University as juniors.

Beginning this fall, the program will provide transfer pathways in up to 20 academic areas, helping students make a seamless transition from community college to a four-year university.

Dr. Lepre said the partnership creates another pathway for students to achieve their academic goals.

“It means that our students at Wor-Wic Community College are going to complete a degree with us and then transfer as juniors to Salisbury University, which is amazing for our students because their time to completion will be reduced,” said Dr. Casey.
