BSP Berlin Barrack Reports Temporary Non-Emergency Phone Outage

Dcps Seeking Phone Feedback

BERLIN, Md. — The Maryland State Police Berlin Barrack is experiencing temporary disruptions to its non-emergency phone service after a traffic incident damaged local telephone lines, officials announced.

According to a statement released by the barrack, emergency 911 services remain fully operational and are continuing to receive calls without interruption.

The outage affects only the agency’s non-emergency phone lines, limiting the public’s ability to contact the barrack through its regular telephone numbers.

Officials said crews are actively working to repair the damaged lines and restore service as quickly as possible.

“We are still receiving emergency (911) calls like normal,” the barrack said in a social media post. “Crews are working on fixing the problem as soon as possible.”

No additional information was immediately available regarding the traffic incident that caused the damage or an estimated timeline for repairs.

Residents with emergencies are urged to continue calling 911. Those needing non-emergency assistance may experience delays until phone service is restored.
