Federalsburg Announces Closure of Splash Pad for the Summer

(FEDERALSBURG, Md) – The town of Federalsburg announces the community splash pad will not open this summer.

The town made the announcement on Facebook Wednesday.

Town leadership cites repeated repairs, maintenance issues, and continued vandalism of the splash pad.

This will be the third year the splash pad has been closed due to vandalism.

The town says in the Facebook post, “We know the splash pad has been a part of many summer memories for local families over the years, and we appreciate everyone’s understanding and continued support. While this chapter may be coming to an end, we remain committed to continuing conversations about the future of our parks, recreation, and community spaces here in Federalsburg. Thank you for your understanding and continued support.”
