New Comcast broadband project extends to East New Market
Salisbury, Md. – Comcast announced the completion of a broadband expansion project that will bring more options for customers in East New Market, Md. on Wednesday.
The project will connect more than 250 homes and businesses to multi-gigabit Internet from Xfinity. Comcast officials say it is part of their continued effort to invest in Maryland’s Eastern Shore. More projects are underway in Centreville and Kent Island, which are expected to connect more than 16,000 homes and businesses to Xfinity and Comcast Business services.
“We love being part of the community here on the Eastern Shore, and we’re really excited and proud to continue expanding our network to new towns,” Comcast Senior Director of Public Relations Charlie Schoenthaler said.
In a statement, Mayor Gary Lucks of East New Market said, “we applaud Comcast for making this significant investment in East New Market and bringing our residents a new choice for fast, reliable Internet, mobile services, and more.”
