Charlie Paparella Admires Delaware’s Ponds

DELAWARE – In this week’s edition of Back on the Road with Charlie Paparella, brought to you by Furniture & More Gone Coastal, Charlie admires the natural beauty the First State has to offer.

Charlie says the great state of Delaware has a lot of great resources, with his personal favorite being the countless millponds scattered throughout the state. Additionally, the First State is the northern limit of the cedar cypress tree, whose massive roots hold down marvelous riverbanks intact.

“They are places of great beauty in every season,” Charlie says. “Each one a refuge from our frenetic American lifestyle.”

If you’re a pond lover like Charlie, you may have seen signs from DEOS: Delaware’s Environmental Observing System, run by the University of Delaware. Charlie tells us they keep track of everything from temperature to solar radiation, so folks will know when the time arises.

If you have a story idea that you’d like to see Charlie tackle, email them to papa@wmdt.com.
