Four Stores Fail Wicomico Alcohol License Checks
WICOMICO COUNTY, Md. – The Wicomico County Alcohol Task Force recently conducted a routine compliance check of establishments licensed to sell alcohol within the county, finding four that did not meet state guidelines.
On May 21, a total of 15 establishments were checked. The Board of License Commissioners may order the following establishments to appear before the Board for a hearing on an alleged sale of an alcoholic beverage to a person under 21 years of age:
- Corner Market, located at 1 Bi-State Boulevard, Delmar, MD 21875
- Thirsty’s, located at 9534 Ocean Highway, Delmar, MD 21875
- Island Bistro, located at 900 North Salisbury Boulevard, Salisbury, MD 21801
- Red Fox, located at 107 South Fruitland Boulevard, Fruitland, MD 21826
The clerk who allegedly sold the alcohol may be charged by Officers of the Task Force. The Task Force is comprised of the Wicomico County Liquor License Department, the Maryland State Police, Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office, and Salisbury Police Department.
