Killens State Park Unveils New Pool

Felton, De. – A Ribbon-cutting Ceremony was held for a state park pool after much-needed renovations.

Killens State Park in Felton, Delaware unveiled the updated swimming pool as part of their water park. The new swim spot will feature a larger swim area with better views for lifeguards for added safety. Along with more space and fast slides, the filtration pump system is updated, increasing the pool’s ability to keep the water clean. Open to visitors since the nineties, this attraction’s renovations have created a more entertaining and clean space for park attendees.

Matthew Ritter, Director of Delaware State Parks says about the pool “it represents something in the community as a place to cool down and relax. It’s key to this park. The replacement of a lot of our filtration, our pumps that really help keep our water as clean as it is.”

The Killens Pond Waterpark will open for the Summer on May twenty third and will operate through Labor Day.
