Georgetown man arrested following months-long drug investigation

Police in Georgetown say they arrested Oquindell Timmons, 23, following a two-month long investigation into illegal drug activity in the area.

Georgetown PD says along with assistance from the Rehoboth Beach Police as well as the Delmar Police Department, they apprehended Timmons on Thursday.

A search of his vehicle revealed 269 bags of heroin, five grams of cocaine, nearly $4000.00 in suspected drug proceeds, a digital scale, and a loaded handgun, according to authorities.

Timmons was charged with two counts of drug dealing, possession of a Tier 4 quantity of heroin, possession of a handgun during the commission of a felony, and possession of a firearm by persons prohibited.

He was committed to the Department of Corrections in lieu of $53,500.00 cash bond.
