Paid Parking Season Begins Tomorrow in The City of Rehoboth Beach

REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. —  Paid parking season in The City of Rehoboth Beach starts tomorrow and will conclude on September 15.

Drivers can expect the same fees and will have the option to pay through a meter, an app called ParkMobile, or a parking permit. Meters are zoned and will require payment from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. They can be paid with cash, card, or ParkMobile.

Head in parking is required for all angled spots. Parallel parking must go with the flow of traffic.

Officials suggest downloading the ParkMobile app prior to your first visit of the season. They said to include all letters and numbers of the vehicles license plate as written, urging drivers to double check vehicle and license information ahead of time.

A new parking zone at the Bandstand Horseshoe will also be available and payable from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Payment will be restricted after 6 p.m. These changes will be in effect on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, from Memorial Day through Labor Day, when there are concerts.

Permit parking is in effect from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and are for daily, weekly, weekend, seasonal and scooter traffic. Permits are not valid in metered spots. Permits can be purchased at the city’s parking building, or kiosks available at 409 Rehoboth Ave and  the 700 block of Bayard Ave.

The convention center parking lot is the only one run by the city and can be paid for with a central parking meter or the ParkMobile app. Other lots are unaffiliated with the city and violations stemming from those lots are not handled by the city.
