Truitt Community Center closed during renovation

Salisbury, Md. – A recreation center gymnasium is closed due to renovations.

The Truitt Community Center in Salisbury is undergoing crucial renovations, with major upgrades expected in the gymnasium. The popular family and youth center has closed their gymnasium but is expected to reopen in June with new insulation and more durable wall panels that can handle recreational use like basketball. All of this comes as part of the city’s effort to invest in the area’s youth, with a safe and comfortable space for fun and activity.

“We just really wanted to show that the city is dedicated to our community, to the youth groups in our community, that we’re going to provide them with a space that they can use. I find it to be really important to invest in our youth.” says Rachel Manning, a Community Relations Manager with the City of Salisbury.
