Kent Island Field Hockey Stays Perfect, Tops Bennett

The Kent Island field hockey team kept their perfect season going on Friday afternoon when they defeated Bennett 4-0. The win improves the Buccaneers to 10-0, while the Clippers fall to 6-3.
The Buccaneers would be on the attack early and often. They would take the lead just over 10 minutes into the match when a cross would find Celina Kaufman at the far post, and she would send home a shot. The Bucs continued to fire shots on goal but Jayden D’Hara would come up with a couple nice saves for the Clippers. Eventually though Kent Island would figure her out as Kaufman would send home a rebound to give the road team a 2-0 lead at halftime. Kent Island continued to roll in the second half as Abby Carpenter would add a strike early on to build the lead to 3. They would add one more to close out the match from there.
Bennett returns to action on Monday when they travel to Queen Anne’s, while Kent Island on Monday when they host Parkside.
