Ocean City announces winners of special election

OCEAN CITY, Md. – The town of Ocean City has released the winners of the municipal special election held Friday, May 8.

Peter S. Buas and Jeff Heiser were elected to the City Council, filling the two vacant seats.

Buas received 623 votes and Heiser received 664 votes.

A total of five people ran for the two council seats, including John Franklin Adkins, Tony DeSanctis and Bill Murphy.

The newly elected council members will be sworn in at the Mayor and Council work session meeting on Tuesday, May 12 at 1 p.m.
