33rd Annual Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive Returns

DELAWARE – Delaware mail carriers are gearing up for their biggest food drive of the year.

The Lower Delaware Chapter of the National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC) is holding their 33rd annual Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive this weekend. The drive seeks to help raise money and collect food for struggling families.

Letter carriers in Lower Delaware had the highest total of collected food nationwide during last year’s event, bringing in over 300,000 pounds of food donations. And with more people in need, the letter carriers are hoping to give back to their community even more this year.

“Letter carriers care about our routes and our people that we serve every day. So we see them every day, we build a connection,” says NALC member, Desiray Anderson. “So we feel that we need to do whatever we can to help out. And by doing this one day food drive, it helps us be able to serve our community and help out any way we can.”

If you’re interested in donating in person ahead of Stamp Out Hunger this Saturday, or want to make a monetary donation, you can visit NALC’s website here for more details.
