WMDT’s Ronnell Foreman rides hot lap with Nascar Driver Brad Keselowski

DOVER, Del. – The 42nd annual Nascar All Star Race is coming to the Monster Mile for the first time with some of the sports brightest stars. 2012 NASCAR Cup Series champion Brad Keselowski was doing hot laps with media. WMDT Sports was there to preview the huge weekend.

“We’re going about 130, and I’m going to tell you it feels a lot faster, because you are going to jump in and out of the corners. Just tell me when you are ready,” said Keselowski.

“I’m ready right now,” said Ronnell Foreman.

“Alright, let’s go,” said Keselowski.

We made the trek around the one-mile oval, and the trip was exhilarating. Keselowski and his team visited Dover Motor Speedway to speak with fans and media during its open house.

The weekend will be packed with fun and racing action. Starting with the Ecosave 200 on May 15th, the Bet Rivers 200 on Saturday, May 16th, and ending with the main event, the All-Star Race as part of the Nascar Cup.

“This is what it’s about,” said Foreman.

“It’s a great job, ain’t it”, said Keselowski.

What’s your favorite thing about NASCAR? Winning.”

Many fans came to visit for the Q&A, including one who came from South Jersey. James Gongora said he intends to continue his trip to Dover Motor Speedway for the 10th year in a row.

“I can’t really think of any major sport where big names like Brad come out, actually meet and greet with fans, and take pictures and get autographs. It’s not common, it’s unusual.”

Brad Keselowski had some last words for fans: “Don’t miss this race, it’s one of the best.”
