Fagers Island will be busy come Memorial Day Weekend

OCEAN CITY, Md. – It’s almost the start of the peak summer season in Ocean City. Local restaurants and bars are preparing for Memorial Day weekend crowds.

One of them being Fager’s Island, which is having drink specials besides their fan-favorite menus. These menus include the light fare menu, the fine dining menu, and the chef’s gems menu.

Owner John Fager tells WMDT, the popular restaurant, all about celebrating the holiday weekend, while also kicking off the busy summer season.

“”Baltimore, Washington, Philadelphia, New Jersey are all basically within 3 hour drive. So it makes it accessible and easy, and people love to come to the beach. It’s the cleanest, nicest beach, a great beach town, it’s run well and very safe.”

Fager’s Island’s Memorial Day Kickoff Party begins at 5 p.m. Fager states it will cater to locals who are often busy on weekends. Bands will go on at 5:30 and there will be a barbecue.
