Millsboro man arrested in Rehoboth Beach on drug charges

Police say a Millsboro man has been arrested for drug possession in Rehoboth Beach.
According to Rehoboth Beach Police, officers contacted 32-year-old Ian Stradley of Millsboro on Sunday afternoon, after Stradley was seen crossing Rehoboth Avenue against a pedestrian control signal making a driver come to a stop to avoid striking him.
Police say Stradley was stopped by officers around 1:15PM where he was reportedly known to the officers from prior arrests in July. Police say, officers saw Stradley acting nervous, and they saw a bundle of heroin laying on the ground next to where he was standing. Police say during a search of Stradley, officers found a packet of heroin in his pants pocket, and the markings on the pocket matched those found on the bundle of packets taken from the ground.
Police say, furthermore, a warrant check found that Stradley had multiple warrants for his arrest out of the Sussex County Court of Common Pleas.
Stradley was reportedly arrested for one count of possession of a controlled substance, a class A misdemeanor, and one count of failure to obey a pedestrian crossing signal, a violation. Police say, Stradley was committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on $3,800 secured bail.
