Monday Memo – October 17, 2016

MONDAY MEMO
TO:  ALL STAFF
FROM:  KATHLEEN
DATE: 17 OCTOBER 2016

PARKING GARAGE:

• If you have having any issues with your pass, let Lindsy or me know right away

YMCA MEMBERSHIPS:

• If you receive an invoice for your YMCA membership, DO NOT PAY IT! It would have been issued by the Y in error. Please put it in Linda DiGrazio’s mailbox and she will handle it for you.

OUT IN THE COMMUNITY

• Friday is Third Friday in Downtown Salisbury. The theme for this Friday is Comicon and our Stations will have a presence that will include standees of The Flash and Arrow so that folks can take selfies with them. We will also have themed temporary tattoos for the kids and snap some shots of our own for the web. This is the next to the last Third Friday for the season and, if you haven’t had an opportunity to stop down, time is running out.
• Sunday afternoon (noon to 3PM) we will co-host a Trick or Treat event for the little kids at Perdue Stadium. If you have an interest in volunteering, see Sarah Truitt.

STATION VISITORS

• Tuesday and Wednesday, Nick Dalley, Talent Coach and Consultant, will be working with our News Team. He is scheduled to work from La Quinta, so not sure how much he will actually be in the building but, if you see him, be sure to say hi.
• Wednesday at 11, Bobby Coon, the new Communication Services Coordinator with the Delmarva Shorebirds, will be stopping by the Station to introduce himself to our Management Team.

REMINDERS:

• Tomorrow is your last day to register to vote in the General Election in Maryland
• Turn in your United Way paperwork (it goes to Lindsy)
• Sign up for our Bell Ringing day for Salvation Army on 15 December (signup sheet is on the bulletin board; we have four slots left)
• Wawa still has $1 coffee (any size) until Saturday
• The November Ratings Period starts a week from Thursday and goes for four consecutive weeks. As a broadcaster, you or any member of your household are not permitted to participate in any television survey conducted by Nielsen. If you receive a telephone call about participating, advise them as to why you cannot participate. If you receive paperwork, return it to Nielsen with an explanation and advise your Department Head. In advance, thanks for your cooperation.

STATION FREEBIES!

• Congratulations to Chris Scalice, winner of last week’s drawing for the set of black and white ABC logo’d coasters in a holder. This week’s Station Freebie is a pair of blue and white Beer Cave T-shirts from Gordy’s Tiger Mart. Two shirts (size XL) mean we will have two winners. FYI, this is the last of the Beer Cave T-shirts. You can sign up for your chance to win on the Station bulletin board across from the time clock. Per usual procedure, the drawing will be Friday morning and the winner announced in the next Monday Memo.
