Springfest celebrates 35th Anniversary in Ocean City

Ocean City, Md. – Springfest kicks off the summer season by displaying artists and craftsman from a variety of different areas.

This season marks the 35th anniversary of Springfest in Ocean city and the festival is bringing in the new season with new exhibits.

“The street painting component of the Springfest festival is something new this year” says Art League OC Executive Director Rina Thaler.  Visitors can watch artists create portraits right on the venue paths, letting visitors view every step of their creative process.

Springfest is also holding a competition for participating artists with a division available for youth participants. Fairgoers can find a variety of offerings from paintings, glass blowing, food, and live music to enjoy.

When asked why this festival carries such a strong following, one visitor suggested that “it’s all about tradition…its always been here…”

This event was co-produced with the Town of Ocean City and the Art League of Ocean City.
