Five Different Colonels Score In Win Over CSD

The Colonel Richardson boys soccer team picked up a nice conference win Monday night at home when they topped Cambridge SD 5-0. The win improves the Colonels to 5-4-1, while the loss drops the Vikings to 0-10.

The Colonels would strike first after Dellen Wilsen would fire on home just 23 minutes into the match. The lead would then double after Nick Nagel was able to put one in as well. The Colonels would take a 2-0 lead into the break, and look for more in the second half. Nick Roop would be take down in the box, drawing a PK. CR would fire it on frame, but CSD’s keeper Philip Dodge would come up with a great save. CR kept on coming though. Shortly after that, Nagel would send a cross into the box that Hanley Maldonado would head home. Branden Elmore would put one in shortly after that, followed by a strike to the upper 90 from Brockman Harris.

Colonel Richardson returns to work on Wednesday when they travel to Pocomoke, while Cambridge SD travels to Mardela on Wednesday.
