Laurel police charge four in drug investigation; fifth suspect wanted
LAUREL, Del. – A two-month drug investigation in Laurel ended Friday with multiple arrests and the recovery of narcotics and a firearm, according to police.
Officers executed a search warrant April 17 at a residence in the 500 block of the Little Creek Apartment Complex, with assistance from the Seaford Police Department’s SPEAR Team.
During the search, investigators recovered about 2.73 grams of heroin, 1.1 grams of cocaine and 0.1 grams of crack cocaine, all packaged in a manner consistent with distribution. A .38-caliber handgun was also seized. Two juvenile children were inside the residence at the time, authorities said.
Four people were taken into custody without incident:
- Deandre Glover, 33, of Laurel, was charged with multiple felony drug offenses, conspiracy and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child. He was committed to Sussex Correctional Institution in lieu of $20,001 secured bail and issued a no-contact order for the apartment complex.
- Jessica Williams, 38, of Laurel, was charged with felony drug offenses, conspiracy and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child. She was released on her own recognizance.
- Ramall Martinez, 31, of Seaford, was charged with felony drug offenses, conspiracy and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child. He was committed to Sussex Correctional Institution in lieu of $10,000 secured bail and issued a no-contact order.
- Vintavious Gaston, 34, of Laurel, was charged with felony drug offenses and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child. He was released on $7,000 unsecured bail and issued a no-contact order.
Authorities said a fifth suspect, Enoch Williams, 34, of Laurel, remains at large. He is wanted on multiple charges, including possession of a firearm by a person prohibited, drug offenses, conspiracy, child endangerment and related misdemeanors.
Police warned that Williams is considered armed and dangerous and advised the public not to approach him. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call 911, the Laurel Police Department at 302-875-2244 or Delaware Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIP-3333.
The investigation is ongoing.
