OCEAN CITY, Md- Old Pro Golf in Ocean City has been a staple of family vacations since the early 1960s. Facilities Director John Leizar says what sets them apart is their schedule “We’re open year-round, 365 days a year. That includes Christmas and Thanksgiving Day.”

Old Pro Golf has multiple locations, indoor and out, for prospective players- Perfect for a hot summer day or a chilly Spring morning. “Both of our indoor locations are conditioned. That means we have heat and air conditioning throughout the year to keep a nice, comfortable temperature for all of our guests.”

It was time to hit greens- I mean, the blues? Trying out the course for ourselves- With some bad breaks and bounces- it definitely was the course and not my rusty shot…. John says these hidden challenges are part of the course! Leizar tells us the challenge makes it all the more fun. ” So we try to get a little bit of both. We want to give folks the opportunity to get those holes in one. So we have some of the holes that are easier than others- and we have some that are more challenging.”

Time to lock in-My pride alone wouldn’t be okay with no hole in one Let alone losing to Kolby, and I definitely worked for it. After a couple of holes, my luck started to turn. Eventually landing that hole-in-one. Which I think I found more relief in than happiness, after talking about how good at golf I am, Leizar says that “We don’t want to give it to you- we want you to work for it. But we want you to have fun while doing it.” Focused on the fun- you end off your round with the most challenging hole yet, also the one with the highest stakes. A free game of golf! Neither of us got the most important hole-in-one on the course. But you can’t beat a day of mini golfing for work!
