Tristan Merritt pitches a no-hitter as Parkside baseball edges James M. Bennett
SALISBURY, Md. – Parkside baseball defeated James M. Bennett 2-0 Monday afternoon in Salisbury.
The story of the game was Tristan Merritt as he pitched a no-hitter with nine strikeouts through all seven innings.
The Rams got on the board in the bottom of the second inning, Parkside’s Austin Kinhart hit a ball into left field for an RBI single.
Then, in the bottom of the fourth, Aiden Headley gave the Rams their second run off of a Dave Smith sacrifice fly, which ultimately gave Parkside the edge over the Clippers.
This game was a rematch from Mar. 30, which Bennett won, 10-6.
