GEROGETOWN, Del. – Behind the arm of Lucas Joseph, the Sussex Tech starting pitcher, the Ravens were able to pull up the upset vs early season favorite, the Cape Henlopen Vikings.

It was a tight pitcher’s duel in the game, the Ravens became the first team this season to hand Cape a loss.

The 2-0 result was headlined by a brilliant outing from Lucas Joseph. Lucas played a great game, giving up only 3 hits and pitching 6 and 2/3rd innings.

He had 5 strikeouts on the mound and demonstrated complete control over situations, lining up various Cape hitters and sending them packing. Even when things didn’t look good, Joseph was able to respond to the adversity several times.

The Vikings were resilient, even though they were down during much of the game, they put themselves in scoring position.

However, those moments were when Joseph served his best pitches. Getting the Ravens out of jam after jam.

Sussex Tech is looking to continue that momentum with this win. They are now 3 and 3 on the season.
