Chincoteague Island Easter Decoy & Art Festival Awards

CHINCOTEAGUE ISLAND, Va. – Tonight’s Good News, brought to you in part by Matt the Carpet Guy, coming out of Chincoteague Island.

The Chincoteague Chamber of Commerce announced the winners of the 45th Annual Chincoteague Island Easter Decoy & Art Festival from earlier this month. The local tradition gathers artists from throughout the country to celebrate the heritage and craftsmanship that make up the Chincoteague community.

The award recipients were Jimmy Bowden for Best Carver, Nancy Richards for Best Artist, Kelly Cosby for Best Photograph of Chincoteague/Assateague, and Patrick Lieb who received the Curtis Merritt Award Of Excellence.
