Guests selected as Trump and Clinton square in final debate

All eyes on Nevada on Wednesday night, as presidential candidates Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton square off in the third and final presidential debate.

Joining the candidates are also two guests of their choosing.

Hillary Clinton will be joined by Hewlett-Packard CEO Meg Whitman and Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban.

Meanwhile, Trump has invited Patricia Smith. She’s the mother of Benghazi victim Sean Smith and has previously accused Clinton of “murdering” her [Smith] son.

Trump’s other guest is the half brother of President Barack Obama, Malik Obama.

Dr. Sam Hoff, a professor of history and political science at Delaware State University, says the candidates’ strategic picks remind him of guests invited to the State Of The Union addresses.

“In this sense, it seems to be the opposite, a person who is supporting them as a result of something the other candidate did,” explains Dr. Hoff. “I’m hoping that doesn’t become a precedent down the road, but it’s a tool that both candidates have used.”

Delaware State University will be holding a viewing party for the debate at the Martin Luther King Junior Student Center on campus.

The debate starts at 9 p.m.
