Discover Delmarva: Zelky’s Bayside

REHOBOTH, DE- Zelky’s is a fan favorite at the Delaware Beaches offering unique prizes and new games each season. General Manager Matt Weiner says this location allows you to keep building those tickets all year long. “This is a great location for us we’ve been open year round here just coming up on two years. So when the boardwalk gets a little slower people come here in the winter time.”

This location offers a great spot to kill some time while the rest of the family is shopping at the outlets. The best part is the tickets you win, go with you as you explore Delawares coast. Wiener says playing all year round has major benefits “The game cards you get at Zelky’s can be used at any Zelky’s location. The same money or the same points can be used to play games or pick prizes at any Zelky’s location.”

So I got to work- Prizes aren’t going to win themselves! Starting with on one of my favorite games where I know I’m guaranteed to fill my digital pockets with points! Weiner says each Zelky’s location brings a new challenge “We have our Mario Kart driving games here. We have the world’s largest Pac-Man. We have a really fun fishing game for kids, that gives you tickets based on how many fish you catch.” If you call anything the “World’s Largest” I need to give it a try To my own surprise I set the new high score good beating me on the leader boards! Good thing I won then… the cranes were not as kind to me except the one where there’s a winner every time- I’ll take it.

They also offer classic games that are still a favorite for visitors. Weiner tells us their most popular game is timeless “It’s gotta be skee-ball everybody loves skee-ball. It’s a classic game it’s well over 100 years old.” Funny enough, my score barely eclipsed 100 in honor of the games history! I’ll stick to the new age games, while Kolby plays his ping ball.
