Charity bingo night in Bishopville to support pets in need of emergency care

BISHOPVILLE, Md. — A local nonprofit is bringing the community together to enjoy an evening of bingo while raising money to help pet owners facing unexpected veterinary emergencies.

The Guardian Angel Fund will host a Charity Bingo Night on April 29 at The Restaurant at Lighthouse Sound. Doors open at 3:30 p.m., and games begin at 4 p.m.

Organizers say proceeds from the event will go directly toward assisting families who cannot afford urgent, life-saving procedures for their pets.

Bingo cards will be available for $15 each or four for $40, with prizes offered throughout the evening.

Dr. Cecilia Wolf, founder of the Guardian Angel Fund, said the program is specifically designed to support animals in critical situations.

“The Guardian Angel Fund is a specific fund for animals that are in need of life-saving surgeries and procedures,” Wolf said. “If you apply for it, please keep that in mind. It’s not for chronic conditions, but for immediate needs in an emergency setting.”

Organizers say the goal of the event is to bring the community together for a night of entertainment while making a meaningful impact on local families and their pets.

Attendees are encouraged to arrive early, and all funds raised will go toward helping animals receive urgent medical care.
