Caroline Co. Sheriff’s Arrest Man following Domestic Assault

RIDGELY, Md. – The Caroline County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) has arrested a man following a domestic assault that occurred in the early hours of Thursday morning.

Deputies arrested 27-year-old Ronald William Geaman III of Ridgely was arrested on charges of first and second degree assault, malicious destruction of property valued at less that $1,000, disorderly conduct, failure to obey a lawful order, intoxicated public disturbance, and intoxicated endangerment. He was seen by a District Court Commissioner and ordered to be held at the Caroline County Detention Center without bond.

On Apr. 2 at approximately 1:35 a.m., deputies were dispatched multiple times to an apartment on Railroad Avenue in reference to numerous disturbance calls. On the fourth call, deputies placed Geaman under arrest for failure to obey a lawful order and disorderly conduct. While on scene deputies saw red marks and bruising on the neck of Geaman’s girlfriend, who resides with him. Police say her injuries were not present during the earlier three interactions with the police. She did not require medical treatment.

While en-route to CCSO for processing, Geaman damaged a radio speaker in the rear passenger compartment of the patrol vehicle, causing a minor self-inflicted injury to his head while thrashing about in the rear seat. Geaman received medical treatment for his injuries.
