Decatur vs Sussex Central in varsity baseball classic

GEORGETOWN, Del. – Stephen Decatur making the trip for the cross-state matchup. We start in the top of the 2nd inning, Landon Daniel sends this to Jupiter. Absolutely hammers a 3-run homer there, as the Seahawks get on the attack early on the road. They were up 6 to 0 in the first couple innings.

Sussex Central not only responded, they took over, Mike Toomey with the base hit right down the pipe. He got 1 run in the bottom second, Knights would score 7 runs in the bottom of the 2nd.

These guys were swinging the bat, Johnny Hobgood here trying to with a line drive here – the Sussex outfielder tries to make the play but can’t, and Hobgood gets to 2nd base.

It was a close game on the diamond, but Decatur took advantage of the mistakes, wild pitch right here, and the Seahawks get another one on the board. Decatur wins a shootout 14 to 10.
