Georgetown Fire Co. Rescues Trapped Driver after Crash

GEORGETOWN, Del. – The Georgetown Fire Company responded to a serious car crash on Sunday night.

At 10:12 p.m. on Mar. 29, crews were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident with entrapment in the 20000 block of Gravel Hill Road. Upon arrival on the scene, Assistant Chief Quinn Baker found a single-vehicle accident in which a car crashed into a tree, and determined one individual was trapped. Rescue crews promptly initiated the extrication process, successfully freeing the patient.

The individual was transported to a local hospital for further evaluation and care.
