Salisbury Zoo hosts a wild Easter Jeep hop
SALISBURY, Md. — The Salisbury Zoo is hosting its 2026 Easter Jeep Hop with Pohanka Jeep of Salisbury.
The event will be filled with wild fun Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m. Families are invited to stroll the zoo, where decorated Jeeps will be stationed for guests to visit and collect sweet treats and giveaway gifts. Whether visitors want to see the zoo’s animals or snag a few Easter candies, there is something for everyone.
Jamie Nichols, Salisbury Zoo assistant director, said, “We have a bunch of different Jeeps coming to the zoo that are going to be decorated, all decked out for Easter. Kids will be able to walk around, and families can visit the different Jeeps and get some candy, kind of like a trick-or-treating trail. We also have some raffles, prizes, and donations going on, plus food trucks, lots of fun for the whole family.”
Nichols said the event helps support the zoo’s mission of providing quality animal care and education for the community.
She explained that partnering with businesses to put on events plays a huge role in supporting that mission. “It’s different because we’re actually getting to partner with other community organizations to help fundraise for the zoo,” she said.
There will also be a $5 Easter Egg Giveaway. Proceeds from all donations will benefit the Salisbury Zoo, helping care for future animals and working toward regaining its accreditation.
