OC opposing SHA Pilot Program Proposal

(OCEAN CITY, Md) – The town of Ocean City are formally opposing a proposed pilot program from the State Highway Administration.

The proposal would test converting parts of northbound bus lanes on Philadelphia Avenue, from 17th to 26th streets into dedicated bike and scooter lanes.

The Ocean City Council voted to send a letter of opposition to the state. saying the change would force buses to stop in the travel lane, causing backups and raise the risk of crashes.
