Small brush fire reported near Long Neck road car wash

MILLSBORO, DEL. -Fire crews responded Wednesday afternoon to a reported brush fire near a car wash along Long Neck Road in Millsboro.

The incident occurred at about 4:05 p.m. on March 11 near Green Hill Car Wash, located at 32517 Long Neck Road. The Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was dispatched after reports of a small group of trees on fire to the left of the building toward the front of the property.

Responding units included Brush 80 from the Long Neck station and Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard station, along with the Delaware State Fire Police.

Crews were assigned to locate the fire, evaluate the situation and conduct suppression if needed.

Upon arrival, responders determined a small tree had been on fire in the area. After evaluating the scene, responding units were canceled and returned to their stations without further incident.
