Fire at Frontier Town Campground destroys maintenance building, damages nearby structures

BERLIN, Md. – A maintenance building has been destroyed and several other buildings damaged following a large fire at the Frontier Town Campground in Berlin.

Around 6:54 p.m., the Berlin Volunteer Fire Company received reports of a building fire within the campground property.

Once on scene, firefighters encountered heavy fire conditions involving a maintenance building.

According to the Worcester County Fire Marshal’s Office, firefighters worked to contain the fire so it wouldn’t extend to additional buildings.

No injuries have been reported.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Worcester County Fire Marshal.
