Speeding Cameras Coming to Seaford
(SEAFORD, Del) – The Seaford City Council came to an agreement at Tuesday night’s city council meeting to install mobile speed cameras.
One road mentioned is Stein Highway, home to several of the town’s schools. Seaford Police say the highway’s is notorious for speeders.
“Last year we had several major pedestrian crashes, pedestrian involved crashes, I should say. In addition to just, you know, a growing number of regular vehicle crashes. So it’s really looking at trying to decrease those numbers…” says Seaford Deputy Chief, Tyler Justice.
The Seaford police is in the early stages of the plans for the cameras and installation could take up to a year.
