Big toys on the Boardwalk

There was a lot of buzz on Ocean City’s boardwalk Saturday for O.C toberfest. It was chilly on the boardwalk but that didn’t stop folks from showing up in numbers to try out the line of airplane models, tractors, and luxury vehicles for the Big Toys on The Boardwalk event.

O.C toberfest has been around the shore for three years but this is Big Toys on the Boardwalks first time joining them. People, young and old, got the chance to hop in and out of some of their fantasy rides.

“This event here is actually a small part of OC toberfest,” said the event organizer, Frank Miller. “This has been going on for a number of years. It started as a beach maze and a pet parade with a great pumpkin race which, is sort of like pine wood derby; highly engineered pumpkins if I can say,” he laughed. “This year we added Toys on The Board walk which is lots of different types of vehicles that kids can come in and sit in and enjoy – fantasize about driving.”

Saturday was the first and last day for Toys on The Boardwalk but O.C toberfest will have different events throughout the end of October.
