Wicomico Middle Student Wins Regional Spelling Bee

SALISBURY, Md. – Tonight’s Good News, brought to you in part by Matt the Carpet Guy, coming out of Wicomico Middle School.

Congratulations to Megan Barrientos on winning the Maryland Eastern Shore Regional Spelling Bee for the second year in a row! Megan is the first back-to-back champion in over 10 years since another Wicomico Middle student back in 2015.

Megan will go on to represent the region at the 101st Scripps National Spelling in Washington D.C.
