Cape Henlopen Vikings falls to the Howard Wildcats in Delaware quarterfinal
WILMINGTON, Del. – The Cape Henlopen Vikings traveled to Wilmington to play the Howard Wildcats in a huge state quarterfinal matchup. The winner goes to the state semi-final.
We start early in the game, a huge steal by junior guard Stephen Sivels, he gets the loose ball and leak out and hits an easy layup. The Wildcats played well, a key bounce pass to Bryson Lane, and the bank is open, he got the easy bucket.
The Vikings matched fire with fire all game, some good ball movement here to eventually find Geordan Downing for the open three, and that’s bottom.
Frenetic action, Bryson Lane to the cup, misses the shot, but the tough rebound Dominic Awahmukalah and puts it back up. Awahmukalah again with a tough rebound, and Lane hits the open three.
The Wildcats run away with this one, beating the Cape Henlopen Vikings 72-64.
