Power Outage in Milford Scheduled for Mar. 11

MILFORD, Del. – The City of Milford has announced a planned power outage scheduled for Mar. 11, beginning at 8:00 a.m.

Officials say the outage is being conducted to safely complete repairs along Elks Lodge Road. Residents are expected to be without power for approximately six hours.

“Although our electric crews worked tirelessly to restore power during the recent storm, some infrastructure requires permanent repairs to ensure continued safety and reliability,” the City said on social media. “Several electric lines will need to be temporarily de-energized…”

During this time, customers in the southeastern portion of the service territory may experience intermittent outages. The extended outage will impact residents in Orchard Hill along Elks Lodge Road. PAM Health Rehabilitation Center and Bayhealth Hospital, Sussex Campus will not be affected.
