Morris Mill Dam project delayed again

FRUITLAND, Md. – Officials say South Division Street will not be reopening at the end of this month as previously planned.

We’re told the contractor for the Morris Mill Dam project has requested an extension until the end of May 2020. We’re told the contractor said there were errors in developing the original schedules, which previously identified December 31, 2019 and March 31, 2020 as completion dates.

In addition, we’re told the contractor is working 10 hour days, as well as Saturdays, to try to complete the project as quickly as possible.
