Decatur vs Arundel First Round Playoffs
BERLIN, Md. – The Stephen Decatur Seahawks taking on Arundel in a first-round playoff matchup. We start late in the third, Ayden Queen drives to the cup, and that’s a nasty layup plus the foul.
Arundel played closed throughout the game, in a tough road environment. Alex McClain drove to the cup for the nice layup. The Seahawks just too much Ricardo Copes gets it to Johnathon Purnell, and he cashes the three ball.
A couple possessions later, Nicky Soares passes to Copes, who drives the baseline and finds Soares again for the three – the Seahawks crowd exploded.
It was 49 – 47, the Seahawks looking for the dagger with a minute to play. Soares says if you can lend a hand, I can lend a hand too – Ricardo Copes has the shot at the 3 and it’s nothing by nylon.
Decatur wins this one 52-49.
The Seahawks will travel to take on Old Mill in the next round.
