Hurlock Approved for Dollar General Market

(HURLOCK, Md) – In Dorchester County, a follow up to the Town of Hurlock’s potential Dollar General Market.

The town had received a letter of support from Dorchester County to bring a Dollar General Market to the community.

Hurlock Mayor, Earl Murphy says Dollar General is now beginning plans to remodel the Hurlock store to accomodate supplying the community with fresh meat and produce.

Mayor Murphy says this is a big win for the small town to bring a grocery store to the area.

“I think it answers a lot of what the citizens were asking for, more of a grocery store type, and they describe some of the changes they’ll make. I’m hoping we’ll get a design of the store that they’re planning on presenting,” says Murphy.

Murphy says the remodel will begin in mid-June and should only last around 10 days.
