Trunk or treat happening this Saturday in Crisfield

This weekend, kids in Somerset County can get a head start on their trick or treating by heading to Trunk or Treat in Crisfield.

Kids are asked to be at Crisfield city hall at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in their costumes and then they will parade to the marina where vehicles will be lined up ready to hand out candy from their trunks. 

The event is put on by the city’s chamber of commerce and local businesses as well as the Somerset County Sheriff’s Office participate. 

Sheriff Ronnie Howard says the event provides friendly interaction between children and officers.

“It’s very good engagement with the community, you interact with the kids their parents, grandparents and other agencies within the county; bring us closer together,” Howard said.

Any child can participate,  they just have to make sure they are at city hall on time Saturday morning.
